Why Photography?

When you're looking for a photographer whether it be your wedding, family photos, a proposal, or newborn shots, each of these days you are wanting to have captured are significant in some way or another. 

To answer your question, why photography?

With what I said above, all those important days are wanted to be remembered and you want them remembered in the best way they can be. I have always loved photos. I don't know why, but I've always found it so much fun to try different poses, different locations, and different styles to get those awesome photos. I am a big believer in capturing memories. Haha my family gets a little overwhelmed sometimes with how often I want to take pictures, but I love being able to look back on those memories. 

Now not only do I want the memories, I feel like photography is a way of expressing yourself and is definitely an art form. I know people say that it's not about making the picture perfect, but just to take the photo. Well, for me I do want my pictures to be perfect, but every picture is perfect in its own way. When taking pictures for families I want to capture the laughter, the fun, and the closeness that family shares. Each family is different, therefore each session is different and that makes those photos perfect to me. When I'm able to shoot couples I want to shoot that love story. I want to capture the love, passion, and romance that couple shares. So for me a perfect photo isn't just about the best lighting, but telling the story of my clients. 

Now with photography some people do not like to be on camera, which I can understand, but I try to entice my clients to see how important capturing these moments are and how they will love looking back on them in years down the road. 

Photography has been the best way for me to express myself, get to meet new people, and continue to challenge myself. If you are every interested in doing photography just go for it! Have fun with it and be confident in your own style!
